Look, Props, Location, Lighting, and Editing: The Five Key Elements of a Successful Photoshoot

Your quince photoshoot needs to be perfect, no questions asked. As a photographer, many people ask me what makes a successful photoshoot, and I usually respond by discussing 4 elements that in my view, are most important:

Look: Having a professional MUA, Fashion Stylist, and a Hair Stylist will have a dramatic impact on the end-results of a person’s look.
Props: A big difference between an amateur shoot, and a professional one is the use of props. These fine details can dramatically improve a composition.
Lighting: Whether the source of light is artificial or natural, choosing the right lighting and knowing how to set the camera so it takes the best advantage of the lighting is key to a successful photoshoot.
Location, Location, Location: It’s not just about finding the perfect location, it’s also about finding a location that matches my subject’s personality, the theme of the shoot, and the style of the gown.
Editing. Post production edits will bring the best out of each photo.

Sin duda alguna, tu sesión fotográfica de tus quince tiene que ser perfecta. Como fotógrafa especialista en el asunto, muchos me preguntan cuales son los elementos de una sesión fotográfica perfecta, y por lo general les respondo que son cuatro elementos muy importantes:

Look: El tener a un/a maquillista y estilista profesional, al igual que un estilista de modas, puede tener un impacto dramático en el look de cualquier individuo.
Accesorios: Una diferencia muy grande entre una sesión amateur y una sesión profesional, es el uso de accesorios. Estos pequeños detalles pueden tener un impacto dramático en la composición.
Iluminación: Ya sea iluminación natural o artificial, al escoger la iluminación correcta y el saber cómo manipular la cámara para aprovechar la luz, uno obtendrá los mejores resultados.
Locación: No sólo se trata de econtrar la locación perfecta, sino se trata de encontrar un entorno que combine con la personalidad de mi cliente/a, la temática del shoot, y el éstilo de la vestimenta.
Edición: Ediciones en la postproducción mejorarán cada una de las fotos.
